Reconext is a global provider of advanced electronics lifecycle solutions, supporting some of the world’s leading technology brands.
In Tallinn, Estonia, Reconext operates its R&D hub, where a team of 38 professionals – the majority of whom are engineers – develop advanced automation and industrial solutions. The working environment is calm, technically driven and highly professional. The team delivers complex automation projects that require innovation, precision and system-level thinking.
Reconext is looking for a Mechatronics Engineer based in Tallinn (Estonia).
Position combines strong mechanical design capability with automation and system-level thinking.
This is not a purely mechanical role. The position requires understanding of mechanics, electronics, automation, and industrial system integration.

Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering with strong automation exposure, or similar
Experience with industrial machine building or automation projects
Solid CAD design skills (SolidWorks or equivalent)
Understanding of automation logic and integration principles
Experience working on project-based development
Ability to move independently from idea to documented solution
Strong advantage:
Experience with Visual Components or other 3D simulation software
Experience with vision systems and automated inspection
Background in consumer electronics manufacturing
Experience working in international industrial environments
As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will develop automation and testing solutions from concept to validated prototype.
Each project begins with a customer requirement and no ready-made solution.
Example challenges:
Designing an automated system to test 10,000 remote controllers efficiently
Developing a machine vision-based solution for detecting surface scratches on consumer electronics
Creating a robotic system capable of detecting and removing adhesive labels from laptops before automated cleaning
