Alphinity is developing and manufacturing single-use components for biotechnology manufacturing processes. Alphinity’s first products are patented and innovative diaphragm blending pumps and unique diaphragm valves. These are going to support efficient and autonomous Pharma 4.0 manufacturing processes.
PIXER is a single-use diaphragm pump with a unique design approach. The pump is designed with an oversized inlet and placed directly under a bag/vessel to eliminate any chances of "starving" and cavitations. This will improve biotechnology processes' efficiency and will make biopharma manufacturing processes a lot more repeatable.
In addition, PIXER has the option to have multiple inlets, which makes it also a mixer (pump + mixer = PIXER). Mixing is required in most of the manufacturing processes and creating platforms for easy and quick mixing is beneficial for the whole industry.
