TRON is a Latvian energy technology company building an intelligent energy management system (EMS) for electricity traders. The platform connects distributed energy assets - including solar parks, battery storage systems (BESS), cogeneration plants, electrode boilers, and heat pumps - to real-time electricity markets. TRON automates trading and grid balancing, helping maximize revenue while keeping the energy system stable.
They manage 560+ MW of connected assets across multiple sites, including some of the largest energy infrastructure in the Baltics. The system is already live, integrated with the national grid, and expanding beyond Latvia.
TRON combines startup speed with the backing of the AJ Power Group - meaning real scale, real assets, and real impact from day one.
Take ownership of TRON’s software development and help shape the future of the platform.
Hands-on leadership role that combines:
System architecture and technical decision-making
Leading and growing the engineering team
Active development and problem solving
You’ll work closely with the product side to translate complex, real-world energy challenges into scalable technical solutions. This is a high ownership position with a clear path toward CTO as the company grows.

Own the architecture and evolution of TRON’s platform
Lead and mentor the engineering team (currently transitioning from outsourced to in-house)
Stay hands-on with development when it matters
Work closely with product and business teams to define solutions
Improve development processes, scalability, and system reliability
Challenge ideas, propose better approaches, and drive technical direction
Contribute to building a strong engineering culture from the ground up

Curiosity around AI and improving development efficiency
Structured, analytical thinking
Technical stack:
PHP / Laravel or similar backend technologies
MySQL or other relational databases
Redis, WebSockets, real-time systems
Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
Linux environments, cloud platforms (Azure or equivalent)
Frontend exposure (Vue.js, TypeScript) is a plus
Nice to have:
Experience or interest in energy, trading, or fintech
Exposure to IoT, embedded systems, or industrial networks
Familiarity with protocols like Modbus or IEC standards
